For many children reading is exhausting. It often leaves them feeling like they’re not good enough. Over time, they begin to avoid it, or worse, believe that something is wrong with them.

Understory helps children develop a more positive relationship with reading, rooted in curiosity and self reflection. Shifting the mindset from “reading is hard” to “reading is something I can enjoy — in my way”

Understory curriculum is based on the Orton-Gillingham approach and focus on the areas most challenging for children with dyslexia: connecting sounds to letters, holding sequences in memory, and building fluency step by step.
